One emerald green, the other royal blue, these two adjoining, yet separate rooms recall all the splendours of French XVIII century “Art de Vivre”. The Chambre Esprit de Jouy Verte is the most romantic bedroom of the château, with a king size four poster bed, a Juliet balcony plus a large window overlooking the garden, park and swimming pool. If it weren’t for the modern amenities, one would think you are a gentleman and lady in 1780.

The emerald green toile de Jouy fabric on the walls provides an elegant setting for the period Louis XVI antiques and oil paintings. En-suite bathroom & toilet. And very small single room for a young child adjoining, with a 80cmx190cm single bed.

Sharing the same elegance, the Esprit de Jouy Bleue room, offers an authentic Louis XVI large single bed 1m30x200m and has its own en-suite shower and toilet. This Suite has it’s own entrance with large dressing closet.

A hearty English breakfast, served on fine porcelain, is offered with home-made jams and fresh seasonal fruit from the castle garden. You will thus savour the beginning of a beautiful and serene day in a peaceful small breakfast room or in the summer, on the terrace.

The Count of Vanssay will invite you, if you wish, for a visit of the castle, during which he will tie in the history of the Vanssay family with the History of France.
