CHAMBRE MARIN DE VANSSAY

Facing the imposing century-old oak wardrobe stands an important XVII century Florentine mirror towering over a magnificent XVIII century French Regency commode. The luxurious gold and royal blue Rubelli fabric enhances the remarkable furniture and the embroidered linens of this princely room.

A most graceful adjoining small double room, Chambre Louis XV, can be added creating a vast suite. The en suite bathroom, called “Le Salon d’Eau” is decorated like a drawing room: three Aubusson tapestries, a Louis XVI commode with a double sink, and even an area for reading in an elegant Louis XVI armchair: Experience bathing as an art!                                                              

 A hearty English breakfast, served on fine porcelain, is offered with home-made jams and fresh seasonal fruit from the castle garden. You will thus savour the beginning of a beautiful and serene day in a peaceful small breakfast room or in the summer, on the terrace.
